In-person sessions in Northwest Las Vegas & virtual sessions across Nevada.
Hi! I’m Dr. Quinnett Swank.
I help adults who feel stuck in anxiety, relationship stress, life transitions, and trauma-informed patterns that keep repeating. As a Black female therapist in Las Vegas, I offer culturally responsive care that honors identity, family dynamics, and lived experience.
My work is attachment-based, somatic-informed, and practical so you can feel calmer, set clearer boundaries, and reconnect with yourself and others. I also offer couples therapy for partners who want support improving communication and rebuilding connection.
During sessions we focus on what’s underneath the surface so change is real and sustainable.
Sessions are available in-person in Northwest Las Vegas and virtually across Nevada.
You can be doing “fine” on the outside and still feel stuck inside.
If any of these feel familiar, you’re in the right place:
You overthink everything replaying conversations, reading between the lines, second-guessing yourself
Anxiety shows up in your relationships: reassurance loops, fear of rejection, difficulty trusting, or pulling away when it matters
You’re always “the strong one,” but you feel emotionally exhausted and on edge
You keep falling into the same relationship pattern—people-pleasing, over-functioning, or shutting down to avoid conflict
A transition has shifted your sense of self (breakup/divorce, parenting changes, career stress, grief, relocation)
You feel stuck carrying old experiences that still affect how safe you feel, how close you let people get, or how you handle stress
You want more than coping—you want to feel grounded, clear, and connected again
Therapy isn’t about fixing who you are. It’s about understanding what your nervous system learned to do to stay safe—and building new patterns that support the life and relationships you want.
It’s not just stress—it’s the pattern your nervous system learned.
When anxiety or feelings of stress and overwhelm keep showing up, it’s rarely because you’re “not trying hard enough.” Often, your nervous system is doing what it learned to do to stay safe overthinking, scanning for danger, people-pleasing, shutting down, avoiding conflict, or bracing for rejection. Those responses make sense. They’re protective. They just stop working over time.
Therapy helps you understand the pattern underneath the symptoms so you can respond differently in real life, not just “talk about it.”
My approach is attachment-based, somatic-informed, and skills-supported.
Attachment lens: We identify the relationship and self-protection patterns that keep repeating and build more secure ways of connecting—with others and with yourself.
Somatic work: We work with what’s happening in your body under stress so you can feel steadier, more present, and less hijacked by anxiety.
CBT/DBT-informed skills: Emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness tools you can actually use between sessions.
Trauma-informed care: We move at a pace that supports safety while gently addressing old wounds that still shape your present.
